How an individual project works
First, a conversation: who the watch is for, its purpose and meaning. Then deadline and budget, because they decide what is possible. Then the direction for materials and movement — steel or other materials, quartz or mechanical, what resistance.
From that comes a concept; from the concept, a real, manufacturable design made by a person. The maker and the team confirm it. Only then does production begin.
About visualisation
The digital consultant or a visualisation helps define the idea and its direction. It is a picture of the idea — not the final technical design. The final, manufacturable design is created and confirmed by the maker.
Personalisation and engraving
Engraving on the case-back or dial, an individual symbol, an inscription, numbering — possible on existing models and on bespoke projects alike. What is feasible on a particular watch is confirmed by the maker.
Movement
A mechanical watch is not inherently better than a quartz one. Quartz is precision and practicality; mechanical is mechanical value and care. We choose by how the watch will be worn and looked after, not by price.
Time
Individual projects take longer than catalogue models and can cost considerably more. How much depends on scope, uniqueness and quantity; the deadline and price are confirmed by the maker once every requirement is known.
